Wetland and Wildlife Habitat Construction 

Creating wetlands and wildlife habitats is our specialty.  This service represents the final product that we work towards accomplishing and where we are best able to showcase our talents.  We have all of the specialized equipment to allow us to work in mud, water and other adverse conditions.  ERI owns over 45 major pieces of tracked equipment including rare low ground pressure floatation dozers and crawler loaders.  Another specialized machine is our 943 CAT floatation highlift.  This unit is one-of-a-kind, specially fabricated with a 13.5 foot wide bucket and 52” wide pads.  

We work as prime contractors on jobs where only these services are needed or we work as subcontractors to major construction companies, engineering companies or developers that “just don’t want to mess with the mud”. 

                  A.        Turnkey Design and Construction of Wetland and Wildlife Habitat at a Superfund site in 
                             Morrisville, North Carolina.  ERI designed and constructed a 5 acre wetland and wildlife habitat at this
                             site. 

                  B.        Installation of 45000 herbaceous Wetland Plants, 10,000 Trees and Shrubs, and Seeding over 60
                            Acres for two phases of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission’s Mon-Fayette Expressway.
                            ERI was a subcontractor to two different large local construction companies for these phases. 

                  C.       Installed 70,000 Wetland Plants and Seeded 10 acres in a Mitigation Wetland, Eighty Four,
                            Pennsylvania.  ERI was responsible for installing and guaranteeing the survival of these plants. 
                            All plants were grown at our own nursery. 

                  D.       Provided Final Grading Construction Services and Planting of 40,000 Wetland Plants, Wexford, 
                            Pennsylvania.  
                            ERI was responsible for installing and guaranteeing the survival of these plants.  All plants at this site
                            were also grown at our nursery.           

                  E.       Reconstruction of Stream Channel and Wetlands at a Superfund Site in Worchester,
                            Massachusetts.  ERI was responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the complete
                            restoration of wetlands and a major stream channel that were contaminated. 

                  F.       Wetland Mitigation at a Superfund Site in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.  ERI designed and
                            built a 1 acre replacement wetland at the site. 

                  G.      Construction of Tidal and Nontidal Wetlands at a Superfund Site in Salisbury, Maryland. 
                            ERI designed, constructed and planted 15 acres of tidal and nontidal wetlands along the Wicomico River.
