Key Projects
ERI was hired to restore the lower portion of White Creek along a closed landfill on campus. With the increased urban runoff causing significant erosion of the banks, concerns of potential impact to important campus infrastructure and grounds became evident. To protect the real estate on the short-term, ERI regraded and protected a large area at the former landfill as well as removing debris in the stream and adding bank protection at the TEEX Brayton Fire Training area. This phased project has been successful in protecting the areas from further damage in the upper floodplain and clogged channel. Our next phase for 2017 is to add permanent protection to the lower floodplain and redirect the stream to it?s former channel using very large rock and LPSTP.
